Pemberton Festival Recap

Dec 19 2017, 11:39 am

The 3 day event has wrapped up and the small town at the foot of Mt. Currie can go back to the potato farmers. The festival was a huge success and plans are to increase capacity next year. By how much is any body’s guess. The site capacity is for roughly 120,000 people, but judging by the chaos that ensued on the festivals first day organizers won’t be ramping up to those levels just yet. The level of drunkenness and bikini clad women was optimal. I can tell you that copious amounts of drugs and alcohol were consumed during these past 3 days, hell whats a festival without that.

The only real dissappointment was the lineups and getting to and from the festival. There were long ass lineups for beer, bathrooms and showers. You name it there was a lineup for it. Live Nation was pleased overall and vow to make things far smoother next year. Whether this festival returns will hinge on the mayor of Pemberton and its citizens. Me thinks there is about 9 million reasons that this will be back next year.

NOTE: Individuals behaved for the most part, as the “No Jacks Allowed” policy worked quite well, so well that the city of Vancouver is adopting it for all major festivals within its city limits.
