3 pedestrians killed in 2 days after being struck by vehicles in Metro Vancouver

Three pedestrians are dead after a series of fatal collisions on November 27 and 28 in Metro Vancouver.

The latest death happened in Ladner, where a person walking was struck at Ladner Trunk Road and Harvest Drive. Delta police tweeted about the incident just after 6 pm Thursday, adding that the intersection was closed to traffic.

This latest collision comes after two other pedestrians were killed during the previous 30 hours.

A woman in her forties was hit by a pickup truck in Abbotsford Thursday morning just after 5 am, at Clearbrook Road and Peardonville Road.

On Wednesday afternoon around 1:15 pm, an elderly woman was hit in Burnaby while walking near Willingdon Avenue and Beresford Street.

Both drivers stayed on scene and cooperated with police in the earlier two incidents. Delta Police have not yet released further details about the latest collision.
