If you had $10 to make someone’s day better what would you do? In light of Pink Shirt Day and its anti-bullying initiatives, Metropolis at Metrotown is hosting a Pay It Forward campaign. The ask? Submit your Pay it Forward idea for a chance to win a $500 shopping spree plus $500 to a local charity. For each entry received, Metropolis at Metrotown will donate an additional $1 to the CKNW Orphans’ Fund up to a maximum of $2,500.

Here are some ways to Pay it Forward this Pink Shirt Day:
Parking Meter Fairy
We’ve all been there. Cash in your $10 for coins and plug parking meters that are about to expire.

Buy someone a cup of coffee
Next time you’re in line for a coffee, pay for the person behind you, too.

Get ready for a rainy day
Stock up on umbrellas then hand them out to people who are caught out in the rain.

Watch a matinee
Treat a friend who is having a bad day and do something out of the ordinary. Catch a fun afternoon matinee to pass the time.

Send a note
A gesture in writing can make a world of a difference. Buy a few blank cards and tell someone you appreciate them to brighten their day.

Contest
To enter to win a $50 gift certificate to Metropolis at Metrotown, do the following:
