How to get rid of unpaid parking tickets by donating toys

We’re not playing when we tell you toys can help you get rid of your unpaid parking tickets this week.

If you owe Imperial Parking Canada Corporation (Impark) for some parking tickets, you can make those bills disappear with the magic of holiday giving. Impark is hosting their annual “Toys for Tickets” event this year.

You’ll have a four-hour window the morning of Thursday, November 27 to bring a toy of equal value matching each ticket you want to get rid of to the Salvation Army Belkin House in downtown.

Impark is looking for new, unused and unwrapped toys, and in exchange, the donor’s unpaid parking violation notice will be waived. It’s one toy for every ticket, so if you’ve got a dozen violation notices, you’ll need to load your sled with a Santa bag full of a dozen toys. Just make sure you don’t get another parking ticket when you’re at the event.

Donors must bring a copy of their violation notice(s), statement(s) or their license plate number in order to ensure proper credit of their account, says Impark.

Impark and the Salvation Army suggest ideal gifts are puzzles, books, gift cards (for movies, retail, iTunes, etc.), sports equipment, and Lego, and they would especially like gifts appropriate for teens.
