Come participate in the Surrey Transformation Selfie Tour. Through exploring the city of Surrey with your friends and capturing your adventures with some selfies around the city, you will receive an exploration package worth over $1,000. Swing by the Park Avenue West Sales Centre during the month of December and get in the holiday spirit by hanging out near their largest festive Christmas tree or taking a family portrait in front of thousands of elegant lights.

Meeting with the Mayor, Gingerbread Competition benefiting local schools and family festivities

December 6 from noon to 6 p.m.


Ever wondered what the city of Surrey would look like made entirely out of gingerbread? Come view gingerbread cities created by local students competing to receive a grand prize benefiting their school.

They’ve partnered with local elementary schools to benefit after school programming. Eight participating schools, each receiving $1,000, build Surrey City Centre as they envision it. They need your vote to win the grand prize of an additional $2,000.

From December 6 to 19, from noon to 6 p.m., head down to the sales centre to view the finished gingerbread cities and cast your ballot!

Plus as a special kickoff, Mayor Elect, Linda Hepner will be on site to announce the start of the voting period. They’ve got cookie decorating for kids with extra help from the Gingerbread Man and Santa’s Little Helpers!

Local elementary schools need your vote to benefit afterschool programs

December 6 to 19 from noon to 6 p.m.


Be sure to head down to their sales centre, located off King George SkyTrain Station, and vote for your favourite gingerbread city. The winning school will receive an additional $2,000 towards after school programming.

Tom Lee Music Festival – an afternoon of holiday cheer

December 20 from 2 to 5 p.m.


Enjoy live music performed by Tom Lee Music and celebrate as they announce the winning school for the Concord City Centre Gingerbread Bakeoff.
