Parade of Lost Souls Festival 2011

What’s the skeleton in your closet? That is what this year’s Parade of Lost Souls Festival will explore. Ever wonder what you would reveal if you were to travel back in time? We’d probably discover things never revealed by our ancestors. Who in your family tree had something to hide? Halloween is the perfect time of the year to explore this and more.

Although the Parade of Lost Souls has been scaled down the last couple years, the festival somewhat makes up for its downsizing. Produced in conjunction with The Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret, the latest incarnation of Parade of Lost Souls is a two-week festival of workshops that culminates with the Secret Souls Walk. The workshops, October 18-23 are sponsored by Britannia Community Centre and cover such diverse topics as craft making, dance, and mask making.

Join them on October 29 for the Secret Souls Walk in an East side neighbourhood (to be revealed on the date of the event), transformed into a portal to the past. They will celebrate those who came before them and delve into the realms where they still exist.

Remember, the secret route will only be revealed on October 29.
