Today, the final white exterior panel will be removed from the Eatons/Sears building at Pacific Centre. The property’s aesthetic value has been the subject of public debate and the removal and demolition of the building exterior – part of Cadillac Fairview’s multi-million dollar redevelopment project – has been deemed as an exciting change.
The white exterior panels are not going to waste. Details will be provided on how they are being repurposed along with 90 per cent of the materials removed during the redevelopment.
A project update will also be provided. The building is being redeveloped to accommodate a flagship store for popular U.S. retailer Nordstrom, along with 10-15 new retailers, and four levels of large floor plate office space.
