Sea otters get sweet treats for Valentine's Day (VIDEO)

It has been a very good week to be a sea otter at the Vancouver Aquarium.

First, the snow. These rescued little critters had a joyous time frolicking in the snow, rolling around and picking up snowballs.

And for Valentine’s Day, the crew — Tanu, Katmai, Mak, Kunik, Rialto, and Hardy — got a sweet treat: Ice blocks formed into heart shapes. Infused with shrimp paste… YUM.

Take a gander at how otter-ly adorable today’s enrichment session was:

Visitors at the Aquarium can get to know the six rescued animals and their stories during daily sea otter talks.

The Vancouver Aquarium is open every day from 10 am to 5 pm. And if you can’t make it in, you can check in from home with the sea otter live cam.

And if you missed it, here’s the snow day festivities, where the winter weather was SNOW PROBLEM at all.
