Orphan Black actress, Michael J Fox represent Canada at Emmys

With this year’s Emmy nominations finally out, it’s nice to see a bit of Canadian flavour on the bill.

Tatiana Maslany, star of science-fiction drama Orphan Black, received a nomination for Best Actress in a Drama.

The 29-year-old Toronto native plays over 10 unique characters in Orphan Black, portraying a group of women known as the Leda clones. She’s received critical acclaim for the diversity of her performance, winning two Critics’ Choice Television Awards, a TCA Award, two Canadian Screen Awards, as well as Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG nominations.

Other Canadians making an appearance include Michael J. Fox, who netted a Best Guest Actor nomination for a small role in The Good Wife, while write Semi Chellas received a nomination for her work in Mad Men in Best Writer in a Drama.

The 67th Emmy Awards will take place September 20, 2015.
