This week brings together local designers, models, fashionistas, reporters, photographers, celebrities and socialites to experience the vast array of talent and culture that Vancouver has to offer the global fashion industry.
The 9th annual VFW opening gala was held at the luxurious Terminal City Club, and was jam-packed with friendly, but curious faces. The guests were welcomed by a generous bar, and platters of delicious appetizers. The guests were very tastefully dressed, and included many respected people from the fashion industry. Vintage jewelery, draped fabrics, and textured prints were just some of the trends that local fashionistas sported.
A plethora of artists, including local jewelery designers, hair salons, and make-up artists had set up information booths, and had stunning models showcasing their extraordinary talent. Local designers milled through the crowd talking to guests and exhibited their work. The venue was perfect, and allowed up and coming artists to network with influential people from the fashion industry,
In the upcoming days we will see local talent being strut down the runways of the Colin Campbell Centre (494 Railway St) – including Eco-friendly designs, with a closing event on Sunday.
Stay tuned for more updates on Vancouver’s premier fashion event.
