Opening Gala and Press Conference kick off Vancouver Fashion Week 2008

The Vancouver Fashion Week Opening Gala took place Wednesday evening at Birk’s on Hastings. If anyone has ever driven by it, I encourage you to visit inside and take a look. It’s very nice. To make it more appealing was the various models walking about, further enhanced, if even needed, by servings of wine. Mayor Sam Sullivan was also present to cut the red ribbon to kick off the event. This was followed by a preview of whats to come this week with models of the various designers showcasing their designs. All in all, it was a unique experience which has the Vancity Buzz team excited for the week ahead.
