The Olympic Rendezvous @ Samsung (OR@S) is the centerpiece of Samsung’s activities during the
Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Known as the “Official Meeting Place for Athletes and Their Families,” the venue features the brands stunning mobile phone technologies, live entertainment and a relaxing retreat for athletes and spectators.

The OR@S is one of the highlights of Samsung’s Olympic Games campaign and is an entertaining
visitors attraction. Over the past five Olympic Games, the OR@S has welcomed more than three million
athletes and fans.
The Rendezvous Point
Location: LiveCity Yaletown at David Lam Park, Vancouver, BC
Size: Two-storey building (30m x 15m tent), 7,500 square feet
Structure: Samsung took an eco-friendly approach in constructing the OR@S. The OR@S fulfills
the objective of reusability, and all materials and components followed Restriction of
Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) guidelines.
The Spectator Centre
The Spectator Centre showcases Samsung’s advanced product
design and innovative mobile phone technology. Visitors are welcome to enjoy a host of innovative interactive productsand services.
Demo Samsung’s latest wireless communications technology and Samsung’s proprietary Wireless Olympic Works (WOW), a mobile phone application that allows the Olympic Family and fans to get up-to-the-minute news, schedules, results and medal standings.
Wirelessly transfer photos taken from Samsung’s OMNIA II phone to the Share Wall (approx. eight
square meters) where visitors can capture and share their memorable WOW moment and post it on
the photo mosaic frame which will be constantly updated with new images.
Design your own snowboard
Design your own snowboard with the “Look of Games” and graphic assets of the CORBY phone. Olympic fans can become a snowboard designer for a day. At Samsung’s OR@S Pavilion at LiveCity, Yaletown, visitors are invited to create their own unique snowboard design using the graphic assets of Samsung’s CORBY phone. Visitors can have fun and design their own exclusive look of the 2010 Winter Games and then email their snowboard creation which becomes a souvenir of their WOW experience at the Games. Visitors are also entered daily into a contest to win a free snowboard, Samsung is giving away a snowboard for each day of the Games.
Collect an OR@S Stamp Card that encourages visitors to experience three interactive booths at the
Spectator Centre. With three stamps, visitors can enter a lucky draw for prizes including Samsung
collector‟s pin, toque, umbrella and other exciting gifts.
The Athletes Centre
The Athlete Centre at OR@S is known as the “Official Meeting Place for Athletes and Their Families”.
Located on the upper floor of OR@S, athletes and their family members can enjoy the lounge and make free phone calls to family and friends back home using the Samsung OMNIA II touchscreen smartphone – the Official Mobile Device of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

Cirque des Communications
Watch daily performances from Canada’s Cirque des Communications as they match with Vancouver’s

will join the exciting line up of daily entertainment at the OR@S.

Join the Techno Digital Plaza Party for ambient music and lighting effects with Vancouver’s own DJ Jon
O’Neal daily from 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

to 28, 2010
