The rumours can now be put to rest as to what will occupy the corner of Robson and Granville. Just like the building itself, the announcement of Old Navy occupying a majority of the retail space is not one that calls for too much excitement. It definitely lacks the excitement of the Victoria’s Secret Vancouver flagship announcement three short blocks away at Robson and Burrard.
Old Navy will occupy approximately 12,000 square feet of retail space. They’ll be taking over the entire second floor and a part of the first floor. The formal address for Old Navy Vancouver will be 720 Robson Street.
So no Apple Flagship store and definitely no Uniqlo. At least the first Nordstrom in Vancouver will be opening across the street in early 2015 after the renovations to the Sears building are complete.
The most exciting part of this building so far has been the historic Vancouver ghost sign that was revealed during the old building’s demolition.
