Break out your lederhosen – it’s the best time of the year!

Oktoberfest season is upon us and it’s time to overdose on pretzels and traditional German dancing. Here are some Bavarian festivities where you can celebrate this year in Vancouver.

Enter this tented wonderland and enjoy traditional German fare, live music, and tons and tons of biers. Evening tickets for this event sell out rather quickly, so it could be a good idea to snag afternoon tickets, that way you can be sure to reserve your spot at the Harvest and you can enjoy some day drinks too.

When: September 29 – October 1 and October 7 – 9 (seating times vary)
Where: Queen Elizabeth Plaza, 650 Hamilton Street, Vancouver
Price: Starting at $25 person, afternoon and brunch seating tickets available online

Harrison Beer Festival Oktoberfest Dance

Put on your German dancing shoes, it’s time to party. The Oktoberfest Dance is one of three festive events happening during the Harrison Beer Festival. Bratwurst, beer, pretzels, and live music make up this polka party that takes place in St. Alice Hall.

When: Oktoberfest Dance October 29 (festival October 28 – 29)
Where: St. Alice Hall at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa, 100 Esplanade Ave, Harrison Hot Springs

OktoberfestSteveston

Celebrate Oktoberfest in historic Steveston for a time you’ll never forget. This Bavarian street party is not your basic block party. It features a Mercedes-Bens vintage/new show ‘n’ shine, a photo booth, tents, barbecue, giveaways, and of course, a traditional beer garden.

When: Saturday, September 24 from noon – 10pm
Where: No. 1 Rd, South of Moncton St., Richmond, BC
