In a listing from realtor David Hung, the asking price for the jaw-dropping house at 8200 Kalavista Drive in the North Okanagan region is currently $12,950,000 – known in Vancouver to be the price of a tear-down (I only wish that was more of a joke).

This nearly 10,000 sq. ft. property sits just outside of Vernon, BC, on the shore of Kalamalka Lake and offers 170 ft. of private beachfront.

David Hung, the property’s listing agent and advisor for Engel & Völkers Vancouver, told the Daily Hive in an interview that the home’s open concept floor plan is “superbly designed and meticulously finished with painstaking attention to detail.”

Hung said the location is also only 10 minutes away from a premiere golf course, top-end resort spa, and an up-and-coming wine region.

Kelowna, which is roughly a 45-minute drive away from the property, remains one of the fastest growing cities in Canada, according to Hung. He claimed “2019 will be an ideal time for buyers as more inventory becomes available with prices coming off slightly since the boom years. It’s an excellent time for a smart buyer to get ahead of the market, especially in the luxury segment.”

For a lot of us, this luxury property is out of our price range, but it definitely doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the pictures and dream, right?
