Part of Oak Street was closed Thursday afternoon while Vancouver Fire Rescue crews battled a fire in Marpole.
The fire was near Oak Street and 64th Avenue, the firefighting service said in a tweet Thursday afternoon.

Oak Street was closed between 70th and 67th while firefighters dealt with the fire in a vacant building.
They managed to extinguish the fire later Thursday afternoon, but still advised drivers to avoid the area due to congestion.
