Notch8 Restaurant and Bar offers fun games, live music

Dec 20 2017, 12:24 am

Notch8 in the lobby of the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver combines the perfect mix of the old and the new world to bring you a unique dining experience in one of the most familiar spots in downtown Vancouver.

Perhaps one of the most remarkable aspects of Notch8 is that you’ll actually want to put away your phone and catch up with the friends that are right in front of you. Notch8 will help you do that in a couple of ways:

Game coasters

Personally speaking, our Notch8 Game Coaster experience was a fun addition to their signature cocktails and delicious appetizers that our Vancity Buzz team enjoyed throughout the night. Time was lost and memories were made.

The coasters at Notch8 don’t just perform a function – they are the evening’s entertainment. Get a group of close friends together, have a round of Pear and Cardamom Sidecars (A Vancity Buzz favourite), and play the “fill-in-the-blank” game. How silly your answers are might depend on the company you keep or the number of drinks you’ve had, but either way, the evening is sure to be a blast.

Live music

Now every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Notch8 will have live music. A selection of amazing local artists will rotate weekly, bringing their unique contemporary sounds to the glamorous new restaurant.

Sit back and enjoy a Rum Manhattan while you’re serenaded by Vancouver’s best talent, and don’t forget to try the Oysters Rockefeller or the Dungeness Crab Cakes, two Vancity Buzz favourites for appetizers.

Disconnect and unwind at Notch8.

When:

  • Thursday: 6 to 10 p.m.
