Imagine finding cash in an ATM – $200 to be exact – that isn’t yours. Do you take it and run, or do you do the right thing?
A woman in North Vancouver found herself in that exact scenario recently. She was startled to see the cash in the ATM and looked around to see if the rightful owner was nearby to claim the money. They were nowhere to be found.
While it would have been easy enough to take the cash, the woman reported it lost to the North Vancouver RCMP, who contacted the bank to advise them on the situation.
All’s well that ends well.
But what would you do in this situation?
