A family-operated haunted house in North Vancouver’s Lynn Valley area is spooking the neighbours and helping the B.C. Firemen’s Burn Fund.

The haunted house, named The Valley Haunt, is currently open on a by-donation basis, marking the family’s 10th year in operation. Created and set up by Karen Dietz and her daughter Paisia Warhaft, the Halloween display took about 20 days to build, “with a lot of hard work,” said Warhaft.

“This year, we have taken it to the next level with a 30-foot walk-through and a variety of new decorations around the whole front of the house,” added Warhaft. The display includes a walk-through a forest scene, a creepy children’s toy room and a “ghostly ballroom,” and more.

The Valley Haunt is currently open until Halloween every night from 7 to 9 p.m. and is located at 1311 Appin Road, North Vancouver.
