'World-famous' North Shore waterfront home listed at surprisingly low price

If you look long and hard enough, you can actually find some surprising real estate scores around Metro Vancouver, including this home that a listing agency calls “a slice of paradise” on the North Shore.
In this case, it’s a North Shore waterfront property with incredible views, and it is listed for $250,000, well below the average price of a home in the region. A previous listing was asking for $350,000, so there’s also been a bit of a discount.
What’s the catch? That’s the interesting part — there doesn’t seem to be one. However, we were informed by the listing agent that the property is completely off the grid. So you’d need to power it with a generator or live life by candlelight.

The listing states that the property is located in North Vancouver, but it’s more specifically in Indian Arm, just over an hour away from Vancouver.

There’s a lot on offer in the 43-year-old home, which the listing describes as “a rare, private and spacious home” that “overlooks this world-famous fjord below with jaw-dropping water views.”
Additionally, the next owner of this property gets access to a “little sandy beach” below a covered veranda that the listing says is perfect for families, pooches included.

The interior could use a little sprucing up, as the flooring and some of the features do look a bit dated. It’s also not the largest home, offering 3,000 sq. ft. of space, but we’ve seen homes with that much square footage selling for much more without the views this home offers.

The listing states that there are eight bedrooms and two bathrooms. There are two kitchens and two large family and games rooms too. It also suggests that purchasing with a group would be ideal.
“This would make the ideal multi-family or friend group purchase with tons of room to roam.”

The one thing you would need is a boat, or a friend with a boat, as access to the home is a 20-minute boat ride from Deep Cove, south of Crocker Island. The house is on the sunny side of Indian Arm.
