Paws up! Nordstrom Vancouver is dog-friendly

Dec 20 2017, 1:30 am

Great news if you’re a pet owner who loves shopping: dogs are welcome inside the new Nordstrom Vancouver flagship location.

Several pooches were spotted inside store opening Friday, alongside their gleeful owners, and the store confirmed to Vancity Buzz that it is indeed dog-friendly.

Leashed pups are welcome anywhere in the store, except inside the restaurant.

This isn’t the only Nordstrom location that understands the awesomeness of allowing animal lovers to shop with their furry family members.

The Nordstrom Seattle and The Rack stores both welcome dogs, the caveat being that they’re on leash and under control at all times. And you don’t leave them unattended.

And I’m all for stores being dog-friendly, but I urge pet parents to be realistic: if your pooch can’t handle it, don’t bring them to a busy department store.

Still, this is awesome news if you’re out for a dog walk and have the urge to pop in for some new sneakers, or Louboutins.

Here’s my list of some other stores that are dog-friendly.
