What could be more adorable that a bevy of baby bears feasting on an apple smorgasbord?
Northern Lights Wildlife Society, an animal rehabilitation centre in Smithers, BC that specializes in juvenile animals, posted an adorable video of their resident bear cubs eating apples that were donated to the organization.
“For all of you that donated apples and money towards a new Bear enclosure. Here is what we do with your support. Thank you with all of our hearts we couldn’t do it without you. You are AWESOME,” reads the caption on the Facebook post.
The fundraising campaign is aiming. to collect $35,000 for the new enclosure
Of course, given recent events surrounding feeding bears and desensitizing them to humans, commenters had concerns about these cubs growing up to be a “nuisance.”
NLWS says they’ve rehabilitated 370 bears over the last 26 years, and that only 2.4% of those bears make human contact once they’re released back into the wild.
Knowing these bears will likely be fully rehabilitated upon release, it makes this video even more enjoyable. Check it out below, and if you’re feeling generous, click here to find out how to donate to NLWS.
