An exciting collaborative dinner will take place at Nicli’s Next Door on November 10. Head Chef Josh Gale will share his Nicli’s Next Door kitchen with Chef Sean MacDonald from Calgary’s MARKET restaurant, and Montreal-born chef Juno Kim, from Juno Kim Catering, to present Friends Next Door: An Autumn Dinner.
“We’re excited to highlight the amazing abundance of local produce and local producers [North Arm Farm], as well as share this evening with our friends and families,” says Gale. Indeed, the one-of-a-kind dinner will showcase a bounty of fresh, honest and seasonally-driven foods.
Although they have never worked together before in this capacity, all three vibrant and self-taught chefs share the same philosophy when it comes to cooking — working with fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients.
Preparing some deliciously hearty food, this collaborative dinner provides the perfect excuse for the trio to get even more creative in the kitchen. It is also an excellent “excuse to eat Sean’s food without going to Calgary,” remarks Gale.
Using fresh, locally-harvested ingredients each course will feature one seasonal ingredient, elevating it to a refined dish full of depth and flavour.
Celebrating autumn’s best, the menu will feature the following plates:
Set in the modern, warm and welcoming Nicli’s Next Door restaurant in Gastown, this collaborative event promises to deliver delicious, warming foods, with thoughtful drink pairings (33 Acres will supply some of the beverages for the evening). As such, guests can expect an evening full of “great food, drinks, and company,” claims Gale.
