Vancouver’s first free New Year’s Eve celebration in more than 10 years is now offering premium viewing lounge tickets. The all-ages event, presented by the Vancouver New Year’s Eve Celebration society, will kick off December 31 at 6 p.m. for everyone and at 8 p.m. at the CF Pacific Centre Lounge for VIP ticket holders.
Live music from the 102.7 The Peak stage will be simulcast along with a fireworks soundtrack, and guests will have full access to gourmet food carts (including hot drinks), complimentary snacks and a beautiful, private, comfortable lounge with a mix of soft furniture and high top tables and stools.
A full bar will be available for adults, but everyone is welcome from youngsters to grown-ups.
Watch the gorgeous fireworks display over Burrard Inlet at midnight on the covered areas at Canada Place. There will be heaters and blankets to stave off the chilly weather.
“We are elated to see both Vancouver’s private and public sectors coming together to support a shared vision for an free, all-ages community event,” said President of the Vancouver New Year’s Eve Celebration Society Charles Gauthier. The non-profit organization was founded by news, lifestyle and entertainment website Vancity Buzz.
“Cultural events like these define our city and give residents of all ages and backgrounds a reason to come together as a community.”
Everyone gets in and out privileges from the event, as well as complimentary coat check to access the main stage with ease. To top it all off, there will be noise makers and complimentary sparkling wine at midnight.
The event recently was granted $400,000 in funding from various private, public and in-kind sponsors to support the first all-ages New Year’s Eve event in the city, as well as a $125,000 grant from the City of Vancouver. Sponsors include Vancity Buzz, Global Television, Concord Pacific and Brix Media Co.
If you want the VIP experience, tickets start at just $20 and top out at $50. Early bird tickets are just $40. Space is limited, so get them soon through Tickets Tonight. Early bird pricing ends on November 30. For more information, visit nyevan.com.
