A recently-released video sharing the inspiring accomplishments so far of the City of Vancouver food policy has found widespread success online.

The video, which was produced by Farzine MacRae at MacRae Multimedia, features many of the hard-working people, groups, and businesses working to improve food security city-wide. Of course, the video includes beautiful locally-grown produce, kids digging in the dirt, delicious fresh food, and some chickens and bees taking their star turns.

“A sustainable food system is essential to nourishing a healthy city. So we launched the City of Vancouver’s Food Strategy in January 2013, the culmination of 10+ years of policy, planning and community work to build a healthy, just and sustainable food system,” explains the City of Vancouver on Facebook, where the video has so far had over 300,000 views, and thousands of “likes” and “shares.”
