New shows and movies to watch on Netflix Canada this weekend

As we enter the final weekend of the first month of the year, Netflix Canada has put together an intriguing list of new shows, movies, and documentaries.

Considering there’s not much else to do except park-it in front of a glowing screen, here’s what’s going on Netflix this weekend.

Literally.

Ranging from a post-apocalyptic drama, to a documentary about youth football, a few Netflix Originals, and some older releases from earlier this month, there should be enough here to keep you busy this weekend.

The Dig

When a wealthy widow hires an amateur archeologist to excavate burial mounds on her estate, they uncover history-changing treasure.

Below Zero (Bajocero)

When a prisoner transfer van is attacked, the cop in charge must fight those inside and outside while dealing with a silent foe: the icy temperatures.

Finding ‘Ohana

A summer in rural Oahu takes an exciting turn for two Brooklyn-raised siblings when a journal pointing to long-lost treasure sets them on an epic adventure with new friends, and leads them to reconnect with their Hawaiian heritage.

We Are: The Brooklyn Saints

Penguin Bloom
