NETCulture: Stories of Culture and Diversity in Social Media

Dec 19 2017, 12:53 pm

The NETCulture series continues this week. It’s absolutely free to attend and will focus on the role that Social media is playing in the course of multiculturalism and diversity education. The event takes place on April 5 at the VPL Main Branch so check it out!

Stories connect us to each other, our cultures, and the world. Come and hear from inspiring speakers reflecting our culturally diverse communities who will show how social media has helped them strengthen their identities, roots and friendships. How can Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other tools help you do the same? Ask the speakers in this interactive session. Featuring Ms. Kety Esquival of Washington, DC as the Keynote speaker and many other local diversity engagers: Ashok Puri, Ray Tsu, Veronica Herringer, Jay Catalan and more.
