Neighbourhood Playlist: West End

Dec 19 2017, 9:17 pm

Between Vancouver’s downtown core and its impeccable natural beauty lies the diverse neighbourhood known as the West End. From its busy beaches to its endless authentic cuisines, this eclectic area embodies the heart and soul of Vancouver.

Home to the city’s Celebration of Light and the colourful Davie Village, the West End attracts tourists and locals alike on a regular basis. Whether it’s Sunday special Caesars at The Score on Davie, lining up for Greek food at Stepho’s or sipping on latte at Greenhorn Espresso Café, there is something for everyone when it comes to the taste pallets. The numerous bicycle rental shops show the love for cycling in the area, and locals are fortune to have the beautiful Seawall that wraps around the pristine Stanley Park for a good afternoon bike ride. Oh the Seawall, probably one of the best places for outdoor workouts in the city. And so much of it is there, in the West End.

Spending an afternoon in Stanley Park, recently named the top park in the world, will make the daily grind melt away and restore your energy. And once that energy is back, get dressed and head out to one of Davie Street’s popular night spots to dance the night away. Follow that by a lazy day at English Bay or Sunset Beach (weather permitting of course). The West End, truly a heart to the downtown core. There, between the west of Burrard Street, east of Denman Street, and south of West Georgia, is where the inspiration came from for today’s Spotify playlist.

Whether it’s a walk on Denman Street, a run on the Seawall or a bike ride in Stanley Park, let this playlist created on Spotify be the soundtrack to your day in Vancouver’s charming West End.
