Campari, gin, and vermouth: The Negroni is one of the hallmarks of classic cocktails. Simple, elegant, and so lovely to drink, The Negroni has earned itself not only a spot in the pantheon of essential cocktails, but also a full week devoted to its celebration.
Negroni Week 2016 will take place from June 6 to 12 this year, and will find bars and restaurants around the world once again offering their take on the Negroni as a fundraiser for a favourite cause.
Started in 2013, Negroni Week has expanded in participation over the years, and in 2015 raised $321,000, nearly tripling the amount raised the previous year.
So far, over 30 Vancouver venues have pledged participation, and among them are some of the city’s top restaurants and watering holes.
Taking part this year are venues like Boulevard, L’Abattoir, Calabash, Timber, CinCin, UVA, The Shameful Tiki, Ancora, Prohibition at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, The Keefer, The Lobby Lounge at the Fairmont Pacific Rim, Clough Club, The Cascade Room, La Pentola, and several more.
