Coming all the way from South Africa, the brand’s humble beginnings started on an afternoon in 1987 when two friends, Fernando and Robbie, went for lunch at a Portuguese chicken restaurant in Johannesburg. They knew immediately they had tasted something that needed to be shared with the world.

What’s behind the heart and heat of Nando’s?

PERi-PERi chillies, an ingredient completely unique to the brand.

Swahili for “Bird’s Eye Chilli”, the PERi-PERi chilli can only be grown in nutrient-rich soil found in Southern Africa, under the blistering sun. It’s the secret ingredient that makes Nando’s chicken and sauces so darn delicious (and addictive!).

Choose your heat level, whether you prefer it mild (Lemon & Herb is your best friend here) or like it hot (Extra Hot PERi-PERi is the perfect choice for chilli lovers).
