East Vancouver is home to a plethora of amazing restaurants, but there’s one you might have missed.
Greek tapas restaurant Nammos Estiatorio is tucked away behind a minimal exterior at 3980 Fraser Street, and it’s literally a hidden gem.
With a creative menu full of authentic Greek cuisine, Nammos sets the bar high. Seriously, the head chef even moved to Vancouver from Greece to help open the restaurant.
It’s one of the most unique Greek dining experiences in Metro Vancouver and quite possibly its best date night destination. Enjoy a craft cocktail on the patio or retreat inside to enjoy your meal in the ambient atmosphere.
Bring your appetite to Nammos because everything on the menu is ridiculously scrumptious.
Order a couple of small plates to start you off like melitzanosalata (smoked eggplant), saganaki (fried kefalograviera cheese), or taramosalata (lemony fish roe).
Salads like the patzarosalata (roasted beets, balsamic vinegar, garlic, EVOO, and parsley) and the horiatiki (Greek salad, capers, EVOO, barrel-aged feta, and ciabatta) are 100% worth your time.
Please do yourself a favour at Nammos and order a dip; each one comes with freshly-baked pita bread.

Fill up with makaromia me kima (Greek spaghetti bolognese), oktapodi (grilled octopus), or arni psito (oven-roasted lamb shoulder, fresh herbs, and lemon potatoes).
Then sip upon a signature cocktail crafted by one of the restaurant’s mixologists and see if you can handle one of Nammos’ decadent desserts.
If you’re looking for a happy hour in the Fraserhood, visit Nammos between 2 and 5 pm.
