Music Monday: Bed of Stars

Dec 19 2017, 1:29 pm

There are many artists in Vancouver that you can listen to and confidently say that they have a potential to break out and make it big in the music industry. And there are only a handful of artists, including Bed of Stars, that impress you so much that you wonder why they are not yet known on a grander scale. When I first heard “Nothing To Lose” off the upcoming EP, I Fell In Love In The City, I wondered how such a quality track is not getting as much notice as songs by Sweet Thing, Fun, or even Foster The People. It won’t be long before the song will be everywhere.

Bed of Stars is a project by the “twenty-year old prodigy” Evan Konrad, who is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and exceptional vocalist. Having all that in his arsenal along with an unmatched musical ambition, it is no surprise that a Juno-nominated producer Daniel Victor signed him to his own label. This partnership has resulted in Bed of Stars’ debut project I Fell In Love In The City. The EP’s first single, “Nothing Left To Lose”, showcases Evan Konrad’s flawless voice and compelling storytelling all bundled with striking instrumentation. There will be no question that the EP will raise the bar and put in a new standard for other artists.

Bed of Stars will be performing at the Media Club on Wednesday, March 14th. Come out and hear for yourself why he will be played on every radio station in the next little while.
