Mr. Arancino: New food cart rolls out with Sicilian rice balls

Dec 20 2017, 2:35 am

Rolling out for their official parked debut this weekend, the new Mr. Arancino food cart will showcase their menu of Sicilian-style fried risotto balls in a variety of flavours, from beef or mushroom to the more innovative, like salmon or bacon pesto.

They’ve tested their arancini at some local events, and recently shared their menu on social media:

These days, Vancouver isn’t opening up any new vendor spots for food carts, however when one packs it in, their slot becomes available. That’s how Mr. Arancino came to be the new tenant at Beatty and Dunsmuir, in the space, and trailer, vacated by Yolk’s Breakfast.

SFU grad Yannick Cudennec is Mr. Arancino, and says he’s gotten his food biz off the ground through the assistance of the YMCA Youth Mean Business Program, Futurpreneur and Vancity Credit Union.

Look for the cart to make its debut on Saturday, November 21 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
