In Hollywood North, it seems there’s always a chance to catch the cameras rolling and a glimpse of the action!
Here are 27 movies and TV shows filming in Vancouver this October.
A Babysitters Guide to Monster Hunting
Starring Harry Potter‘s Tom Felton — aka Malfoy — A Babysitters Guide to Monster Hunting is filming in Vancouver through to November. Based on the children’s books by the same name, the movie is said to be about a teenage babysitter looking to save the day and rescue a child that’s been abducted by monsters.
There’s Someone Inside Your House
There’s Someone Inside Your House is a new Netflix horror movie filming in town, and will wrap up production mid-October. Based upon the book by Stephanie Perkins, the series will follow a group of graduating teenagers that end up being targeted by a serial killer trying to expose their darkest secrets. Cast members include Sydney Park, Théodore Pellerin, Asjha Cooper, Dale Whibley, Burkely Duffield, and others.
The Christmas Chronicles 2
After the first movie was such a hit last year, The Christmas Chronicles 2 is now definitely a go! The movie will set up production in Vancouver this month and will continue into December. Rumour has it Kurt Russell will be back in town to play jolly ol’ Saint Nick, so be on the lookout for a guy in the red suit!
G.I. Joe – Snake Eyes
G.I Joe spinoff Snake Eyes will begin filming in town this October through to December. The action movie is said to be about the popular toy lines character known as ‘Snake Eyes’ who is a silent ninja.
Virgin River – Season 2
Netflix’s Virgin River will be filming in the city this month through to December. The drama series follows a nurse named Melinda who moves to a small town in California and finds it hard to adjust, and stars martin Henderson and Alexandra Breckenridge.
Firefly Lane – Season 1
Netflix’s Firefly Lane will be filming in Vancouver this month, and will continue into January 2020. Based on the book by Kristin Hannah, Firefly Lane will star Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke as the two main characters — two best friends who have been there for each other for decades.
Batwoman – Season 1
Batwoman will be on location in the city this month through to December. Starring Ruby Rose as lead character Kate Kane, the new series will really expand the DC Comics universe with its first-ever lesbian superhero.
Away – Season 1
Starring Hilary Swank, Away is a new Netflix drama series that will be filming in Vancouver this October through to February. The new series will tell the story of an American astronaut, played by Swank, who must leave her family and earth behind in order to lead a dangerous space mission to Mars.
Riverdale – Season 4
The gang is back in town! Riverdale will be on location in Metro Vancouver this month for another season of the binge-worthy Netflix show. Based around the Archie comics, Riverdale will be filming in town all the way until April 2020.
Nancy Drew – Season 1
While there haven’t been a lot of details released just yet, Nancy Drew is a new series that will be filming in Vancouver through to December. Based upon the original Nancy Drew books, the CW series will be based around 18-year-old Nancy Drew who gets involved in a mystery when her and group of friends witness a murder.
Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist – Season 1
Starring Jane Levy, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist will be filming its first season in Vancouver through to January. The fantasy series follows a young woman who has the ability to hear other people’s thoughts as songs.
The 100 – Season 7
The 100 is in Vancouver to film its seventh season this month and will continue into next year. The series centers around a group of post-apocalypse survivors that were living on a space station, and send down a group of juvenile prisoners to figure out if life can still exist on planet earth. Once there, nothing is what it seems.
Supergirl – Season 5
Back for another season, Supergirl will be on location in Vancouver this month till April 2020. Melissa Benoist stars as Kara, better known as Supergirl in this series, who must balance being a reporter and fighting crime — all while hiding her identity from the human world.
The Good Doctor – Season 3
The Good Doctor will be on location in Vancouver this October for another season of the hit show, and filming will continue into mid-November. Starring Freddie Highmore as main character Shaun Murphy, the show revolves around an autistic surgeon who thinks outside the box and is recruited to work at a prestigious hospital.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina – Season 3 /4
An adaptation of the comic book series, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is filming in Vancouver this month for its third and fourth season. The Netflix series stars Kiernan Shipka as main character Sabrina Spellman, along with costars Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez, Lucy Davis, Miranda Otto, and Richard Coyle.
The Baby-Sitters Club – Season 1
Talk a walk down memory lane with The Baby-Sitters Club, which will finish filming its first season in Vancouver this October. Based on the Ann M. Martin’s book series, the new series will get a reboot with 10 episodes that will be available to stream on Netflix.
Charmed – Season 2
The CW’s Charmed will be in production in Vancouver to film for its second season, and will continue until April of next year. Starring Sarah Jeffery, Melonie Diaz, and Madeleine Mantock, the series is about three sisters who discover after their mother passes away that they are actually very powerful witches.
A Million Little Things – Season 2
A Million Little Things is in Vancouver filming for its second season until February. Starring Ron Livingston, this new show follows a group of tight-knit friends who come to realize what truly matters in life after one of them suddenly passes away.
Siren – Season 3

Siren is on location in Vancouver this month through to December to film the next installment of this dark drama series. The show was recently renewed for another season after scoring some seriously high ratings from fans.
The Flash – Season 6

The Flash will be in filming in the city this September for season six of the hit show, and will continue all the way to April. The show is based on the DC comics and stars Grant Gustin as crime scene investigator Barry Allen, a man who has the superpower of speed and uses it to rescue innocents while fighting crime.
Legends of Tomorrow – Season 5
Legends of Tomorrow has set up shop in Vancouver to film for its fifth season, and will continue into January of next year. The series centers around a group of heroes and villains who work together to help prevent an apocalypse from happening on earth and destroying all time.
Arrow – Season 8
Arrow will be on location in Vancouver till mid-November to shoot its eighth season of the hit show starring Stephen Amell. Set to premiere in October this year, sadly this will be the show’s final season.
Project Blue Book – Season 2

Premiering on the History Channel, Project Blue Book will be on location in Vancouver to film its second season until November. Starring Aidan Gillen, this science-fiction drama series is based around the US Air Force investigation into UFO-related phenomena from the 50s and 60s known by its code name of “Project Blue Book.”

Supernatural – Season 15
Back again for its 15th season, Supernatural will be filming in Metro Vancouver this month starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. After 15 seasons, the show has become The CW’s longest-running series. Production is expected to continue into April of next year.
The Magicians – Season 5
The Magicians will be on location for its fifth season in Vancouver this month and will continue into November. Based upon the novel by Lev Grossman, the show revolves around Quentin Coldwater who enrols at Brakebills University to study as a magician.
When Calls the Heart – Season 7
