18 movies and TV shows filming in Vancouver this February

It’s pretty neat when your favourite movie or TV show is filmed right here in beautiful British Columbia. The possibility of spotting that character you love – or the one you love to hate – all while having bragging rights, and taking in BC on the big screen. In Hollywood North, it seems there’s always a chance to catch the cameras rolling!

Here are 18 movies and TV shows filming in Vancouver this February that you don’t want to miss.

Woke – Season 1

Starring New Girl‘s Lamorne Morris, Woke is a new series filming in town till the end of February. The new comedy series by Hulu is about the life of Keef, a cartoonist living in San Francisco. The series is inspired by the real life of cartoonist Keith Knight, who will also be an executive producer of the show.

The Mighty Ducks – Season 1

Calling all Mighty Ducks fans! Get ready for some serious nostalgia because The Mighty Ducks reboot is happening. Production for the new series begins in Vancouver this month and is expected to continue into June. Rumour has it that original screenwriter Steven Brill will also be involved in the new series.

Brand New Cherry Flavor – Season 1

Brand New Cherry Flavor will be filming in town this month with plans to continue into March. Set in 1990s Los Angeles, the horror mini-series stars Rosa Salazar as the main character along with Catherine Keener and Manny Jacinto, and will be an adaptation of the book by Todd Grimson.

Resident Alien – Season 1

Another series filming this month in Vancouver is Resident Alien. Production for the first season is underway until the end of March, and stars Alan Tudyk as an alien who lands on earth and takes on the identity of a doctor.

The Stand – Season 1

The Stand will be filming in Vancouver this February and production will continue into March. With notable cast members like Whoopi Goldberg, James Marsden, and Heather Graham, the series is going by its working title of Radio Nowhere and is an adaptation of the Stephen King novel.

Snowpiercer – Season 2

Back in Vancouver for its second season, Snowpiercer will be filming through to March. The drama series is based around the French graphic novel ‘Le Transperceneige’ and tells the story of the last survivors left on earth who board a train called “The Snowpiercer” that travels around the world.

While we don’t know for sure yet if Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs will reprise their previous roles from season one, the show will add Sean Bean, Steven Ogg, and Rowan Blanchard as new series regulars.

The Good Doctor – Season 3

The Good Doctor is on location in Vancouver this month for another season of the hit show, with plans to continue into March. Starring Freddie Highmore as main character Shaun Murphy, the show revolves around an autistic surgeon who thinks outside the box and is recruited to work at a prestigious hospital.

The 100 – Season 7

The 100 is in Vancouver to film its seventh season this February and will continue into April. The series centres around a group of post-apocalypse survivors that were living on a space station and send down a group of juvenile prisoners to figure out if life can still exist on planet Earth. Once there, nothing is what it seems.

Batwoman – Season 1

Batwoman will be on location in the city this month through to April. Starring Ruby Rose as lead character Kate Kane, the new series will really expand the DC Comics universe with its first-ever lesbian superhero.

Riverdale – Season 4

Riverdale will be on location in Metro Vancouver this month for another season of the binge-worthy Netflix show. Based around the Archie comics, Riverdale will be filming in town all the way until April.

Nancy Drew – Season 1

Nancy Drew is a new series that will be filming in Vancouver with production continuing into April. Based upon the original Nancy Drew books, the CW series will be based around 18-year-old Nancy Drew, who gets involved in a mystery when she, and a group of friends, witness a murder.

Supergirl – Season 5

Back for another season, Supergirl will be on location in Vancouver this February. Melissa Benoist stars as Kara, better known as Supergirl in this series, who must balance being a reporter and fighting crime — all while hiding her identity from the human world.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina – Season 3 /4

An adaptation of the comic book series, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is filming in Vancouver for its third and fourth season with production finishing up mid-February. The Netflix series stars Kiernan Shipka as main character Sabrina Spellman, along with co-stars Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez, Lucy Davis, Miranda Otto, and Richard Coyle.

Charmed – Season 2

The CW’s Charmed will be in production in Vancouver to film for its second season. Starring Sarah Jeffery, Melonie Diaz, and Madeleine Mantock, the series is about three sisters who discover after their mother passes away that they are actually very powerful witches.

A Million Little Things – Season 2

A Million Little Things is in Vancouver filming for its second season till mid-February. Starring Ron Livingston, this new show follows a group of tight-knit friends who come to realize what truly matters in life after one of them suddenly passes away.

The Flash – Season 6

The Flash will be filming in the city this month for season six of the hit show and will continue until April. The show is based on the DC comics and stars Grant Gustin as crime scene investigator Barry Allen, a man who has the superpower of speed and uses it to rescue innocents while fighting crime.

Helstrom – Season 1

Marvel’s Helstrom will be in production in Vancouver till the end of February. With cast members like Tom Austen, Sydney Lemmon, and Elizabeth Marvel, the new series tells the story of a brother and sister who are the children of a serial killer.

Supernatural – Season 15

Back again for its 15th season, Supernatural will be filming in Metro Vancouver this month starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. After 15 seasons, the show has become The CW’s longest-running series. Production is expected to continue until April of next year.
