Many restaurants, particularly hotel restaurants, turn it up a notch for Mother’s Day. Some of our favourites include the Mother’s Day brunch offerings at Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar, YEW seafood + bar , and Dockside.

Spectacular Scenery

Stunning water, mountain, or city views are sometimes par for the course in Vancouver, particularly when dining. Weather permitting, this might be a great time to check out a patio, grab a table at a restaurant or cafe in a picturesque spot, or head up a hill (or mountain) for something breathtaking.

Head up to Grouse Mountain’s Observatory and Bistro for a special brunch, or stay in the city and explore Queen Elizabeth Park or VanDusen Botanical Garden and dine at the restaurants on site. Other charming vistas can be found along False Creek, at Granville Island, in Yaletown, or in Downtown Vancouver.

Brunch on Mother’s Day can be a pretty big scene, so after pampering mom with breakfast in bed (or letting her at least sleep in) dinner reservations might be a better bet. While that leaves your dining options as wide open as on any day, Vancouver’s Secret Location is hoping you’ll want to treat mom to a night out on Saturday, May 9, with their All About Mom special dinner.
