Mother’s Day is just around the corner and that means it’s time to start thinking about how you want to spoil mom this year. If you’re looking for a charming culinary experience, Vancouver is full of tantalizing options. Granville Island’s Dockside Restaurant will offer a Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet. Built around food stations, which evoke the bounty of Granville Island’s Public Market, guests at Dockside can choose from over 70 selections, like omelettes, waffles, Eggs Benedict, local meats, and fresh seafood.

Two seatings, 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., will be offered and reservations are required. The buffet is $74.95 per person (plus tax and gratuity) for adults, and $34.95 per child 6 to 12 years (5 and under free).

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, Boulevard Executive Chef Alex Chen and team will offer up a sumptuous three-course Mother’s Day Brunch menu for $59 per person, featuring appetizer courses such as Artichoke and Burrata Salad and Snake River Farm Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, as well as mains like traditional Eggs Benedict and Italian Sausage Meatballs Cocotte.

If brunch isn’t Mom’s thing, Boulevard is also offering a gourmet three-course dinner for $65 per person that features starters such as Sawmill Bay Oysters and White Asparagus Salad, along with mains like Classic Chicken Coq au Vin and ‘Mama’s Sunday Roast’ with Slow-cooked Prime Striploin.

For Mother’s Day 2016 Joe Fortes will be offering brunch from 10 a.m. Joe’s Seafood Tower on Ice will be available for $64.95/tier with Atlantic lobster, chilled crab, local oysters, clams, mussels, scallop ceviche, smoked Albacore Tuna, and poached jumbo prawns. Gastown’s Bauhaus restaurant does not normally serve weekend brunch, however, it will be offering brunch-inspired plates on Sunday, May 8 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A dinnertime tasting menu will also be offered from 5 p.m. onwards.
