Vancouver council to research possible heritage protection for Mole Hill community

Jun 16 2016, 9:12 pm

No concrete answer yet, but a positive step forward for those in favour of seeing Mole Hill community in the West End become a heritage conservation site for homes over 100 years old.

City Councillor Adriane Carr said staff will be researching for the next year the pros and cons, also the process of conserving the Mole Hill area.

“so they’re going to come back with a lot of details that could then lead to a public hearing which would then consider the actual establishment of a heritage conservation area.”

Meanwhile, the two lots that have proposals for development at 1150 Comox and 1180 Comox, will have to wait for approval before moving forward, which will be determined after a public hearing.
