Mo Salah celebrates with Egypt fans outside Vancouver hotel

BC Place was the site of a history-making moment for Egypt on Sunday at the FIFA World Cup.
The African nation picked up its first-ever FIFA World Cup win, defeating New Zealand 3-1. They did so with global soccer superstar Mohamed Salah scoring the game-winning goal.
The win was clearly very special for the players, who showed emotion on the pitch after the final whistle. Players were jubilant in the dressing room, singing and dancing.

“What happened today was history, for us as Egyptians,” Salah said after the match.
“It’s a great feeling for all of us. It’s a great achievement. I said before, we just do our best in the tournament to make the people happy in Egypt, and right now they are happy and proud. The only thing I can promise them is we will sweat, and we will run, and we will give it our best.”
