Joining Teen Wolf, Men in Black and Uncle Buck as movie properties that didn’t need to be made into TV shows, a series based on the Tom Cruise sci-fi thriller Minority Report is set to begin filming in Vancouver this month.
A pilot for the series was filmed in Toronto last year, but production on the series will begin in Vancouver on July 21, and run until December 11.
Set about 10 years following the events of the film, the series follows a pre-cog – the clairvoyant youth tasked with predicting crimes before they occur – that teams up with a detective to put his powers to good use. Stark Sands plays Dash, one of the pre-cogs from the film, trying to reintegrate into society, while Meagan Good plays the as-of-yet-unnamed police detective.
The cast also include Wilmer Valderrama of That 70s Show fame, Nick Zano of Six Feet Under and Laura Regan, who played the wife of ad man Harry Crane in AMC’s Mad Men.
The series is set to premiere September 21 on Global in Canada and Fox in the United States.
