Milk products recalled in BC due to potential of 'harmful' material

Numerous milk products sold under different brands in BC have been recalled by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

While details on the recall are slim, the CFIA said products sold under the Agropour Cooperative, which includes Island Farms, Lucerne, and Natrel brand milk products have been recalled from grocery store shelves due to “the potential presence of harmful extraneous material and that people should not consume the recalled products.

All the products have a Best Before date of July 3, 2017. The full list of products are:

Island Farms

  • 1% Partly skimmed milk: 2 L and 4 L
  • 2% Partly skimmed milk: 2 and 4 L
  • 1% Parly skimmed chocolate milk: 1 L
  • Homogenized milk: 4 L
  • Skimmed milk: 2 and 4 L

Lucerne

  • Skimmed milk: 2 L
  •  1% Partly skimmed milk: 2 L
  • 2% Partly skimmed milk: 2 L
  • 1% Chocolate partly skimmed milk: 2 L
    Homogenized milk: 2 L

Natrel

  • 1% Partly skimmed milk: 4 L
  • 2% Partly skimmed milk: 4 L
  • 1% Chocolate partly skimmed milk: 1 L
  • Homogenized milk: 4 L
