Grammy Award-winning recording artist Miguel (Miguel Jontel Pimentel) has announced his North American tour, which sees him playing in Vancouver on August 22.
The R&B star kicks off the first leg of his tour with special guest Dorothy on July 24 in Austin, Texas. The continent-wide tour will be in support of Miguel’s highly anticipated third studio album, WILDHEART, which releases on June 29.
Tickets for the general public go on sale beginning Friday, June 19 at 10 a.m.
While his new album releases later this month, Miguel has already released the first single, “Coffee,” which had its official music video released today on VEVO.
The singer first hit mainstream in 2010 with his infectious single “All I Want is You,” a song that blended a stark hip-hop beat with Miguel’s vocals to form a sound that was absent from the music scene, establishing him as one of the most unique and soulful voices in modern R&B.
Miguel’s album “Sure Thing” hit #1 on Billboard’s Hip-Hop/R&B chart and followed up with his critically-acclaimed, four-time Grammy Award-nominated album “Kaleidoscope Dream.” In 2013, he was nominated for a total of five Grammy Awards, and his single “Adorn” won him his first Grammy Award for Best R&B Song. It also stayed at #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart for more than 23 weeks.
