The Government of Canada has added a new flight from Mexico City to Vancouver to its list of routes with potential coronavirus exposure.

Someone one board AeroMexico’s September 27 flight AM696 from Mexico City (MEX) to Vancouver (YVR) later tested positive for coronavirus.

The Canadian government has not disclosed where on the plane the infected passenger was sitting.

Anyone else on board that flight is advised to monitor for symptoms for 14 days after exposure. Anyone on the flight who feels ill should self-isolate and make arrangements to get a coronavirus test, the federal government advises.

Canada updates its list once a day with new flights identified for coronavirus exposure.
