You may have noticed a change in gas prices this morning. On Thursday night, gas shot up five cents a litre, making the average price 104.9 for the Metro area.
Dan McTeague with GasBuddy.com tweeted about the changes on Thursday.
Gas Price Alert #Vancouver & Lower Mainland gas prices heading up 5 cents/litre overnight for Fri Feb 12. Avg prices go from 99.9 to 104.9

According to GasBuddy.com, the lowest price available in Metro Vancouver at the moment is 94.9 cents per litre at a Costco in Langley. In fact, the cheapest gas prices you’ll find are mostly outside of Vancouver.
McTeague told Vancity buzz that consumers shouldn’t expect any further price increases heading into the weekend. On Sunday, however, expect to see another jump.
