Heavy rainfall pummelled Metro Vancouver last night, and it is still expected to continue throughout much of the last day of 2019.
An updated rainfall warning bulletin by Environment Canada at 10:31 am today indicates rainfall will ease over most areas this evening, but will continue over the central and eastern Fraser Valley tonight.
The storm is expected to bring total rainfall amounts of between 40 mm and 60 mm. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible in these conditions.
As a reminder, the annual New Year’s Eve fireworks held in downtown Vancouver are cancelled tonight.
