Earlier this month, Vancouver’s ultimate summer drink festival kicked off, and it lasts until Aug. 4.
Participating vendors across Metro Vancouver have created some delicious cold drinks and frozen treats. Think chocolate milk, iced coffees, milkshakes, floats, fruit slushies, iced teas, bubble teas, and more.
Who is Joe? Coffee Roasters even turned Hawkins Cheezies into a drink, which they call the Cheezie Squeeze.

The event will offer fresh B.C. dungeness crab, drinks, games, local chefs and more.

Vancouver is one of the most veg-friendly places in North America, and it only makes sense that there be a festival that celebrates the plentiful assortment of plant-based options.
The Vancouver event used to be Canada’s one and only, but it has expanded to Toronto.
The next Vancouver event takes place on July 23 at Locarno Beach from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Folks can expect over 50 plant-based vendors, DJs, and other fun summer events.
There will also be a complimentary yoga session at 8 p.m.

Richmond Garlic Fest

The Sharing Farm/Facebook
There’s one summer event coming up that everyone is welcome to, unless you’re a blood-sucking vampire.
The Richmond Garlic Fest takes place on Aug. 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sharing Farm on 2771 Westminster Hwy.
“The festival attracts approximately 5000 people from throughout the Lower Mainland. Highlights for festival goers include live birds-of-prey flying demonstrations, a celebrated children’s area, a diverse farmer’s market, food booths with garlic specials, and live entertainment,” the Sharing Farm says.
Aside from vampires, it’s probably best not to attend if you have a date later that night.
