The newest wheel-ercise studio to come to Vancouver’s fitness scene opened last week.
“Spokesman” Jamie Armstrong is the founder of Method Indoor Cycling, a jacked-up space to its original personal training studio in West Vancouver. The second Method establishment is built atop the CIBC bank at the South East corner of Arbutus and 4th Avenue in Kitsilano. With the help of his friend Dennis Kim, Armstrong has built a branded business that every cyclist in town will love.
“Raincouver” can often drain the drive to get you moving in cycle season, so Armstrong is providing a year-round solution for up to 50 participants at a time.
As an accomplished athlete, triathlete, Iron man and recent Gran Fondo participant, Armstrong wants to do his part in helping others feel good about living an active lifestyle. Ever since his grade one experience of racing the older kids, Armstrong has been chasing that contagious exhilarating feeling. Armstrong expressed his passion for running and cycling as a way to keep moving forward. Living a healthy lifestyle is a great feeling and having the energy to do more makes it all worthwhile.
Armstrong’s great interest of optimizing performance is based on technique and body movement. This study of body movement, known as Kinesiology, is what Armstrong learned while attending UFV (University of the Fraser Valley). The term Method was ideal for his business as it is the key value in achieving optimal results.
