Welcome to our new Vancity Buzz video series, Off The Menu, where we’ll be exploring some of Vancouver’s favorite restaurants and meeting the people responsible for the food.

We’ll also have them cook us an exclusive dish for us that you will be able to order at the restaurant for a limited time.

Vancouver is home to some absolutely amazing restaurants headed by some of the most talented people cooking today but while we hear about good places to eat all the time, we seldom learn anything about the people behind the kitchen doors.

Our first episode features Thomas Heinrich of Mosaic Grille & Bar at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver. We talk food, inspiration, ninjas, Vancouver and lots more. Right now, you can order Chef Heinrich’s Braised Pemberton Meadows Short Rib with Buckwheat Risotto, Crispy Onions, and Parsnip for a limited time.
