Medeo: See BC doctors online. Stay home and skip the waiting room.

Medeo is a new service that connects you to licensed B.C. doctors online via secure video conference on computer or your mobile device. There’s no cost to use it with valid MSP coverage. All you need is your email and your BC CareCard to sign up. This is the first time this technology has been available in Canada and B.C. gets it first.

GPs and specialists across B.C. are using Medeo everyday. You can connect with your doctor (if they are Medeo enabled) or another that’s available. Not all visits are online appropriate but a lot is possible.

You can use Medeo to get medical advice, ePrescriptions, referrals to specialists, and lab requests. When you’re finished the visit with your doctor, you will receive a care plan that acts a record so you always have a copy of the information you got from the doctor’s visit. ePrescriptions are sent straight to your favourite pharmacy and you receive a phone call when they are ready to pick up. Easy, right?

Medeo has extended hours and is open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
