Dine out during Mealshare's 'Tonight For Tomorrow' this May and help feed hungry youth

Apr 12 2017, 12:14 am

If there’s one day you should go out to eat next month, it’s Wednesday, May 10.

Why? Well, for one, it’s hump day, and secondly, it’s Mealshare’s second annual Tonight for Tomorrow fundraiser.

Over 15 restaurants have partnered with the non-profit charity and agreed to donate one dollar to Mealshare for every dollar spent on food on this day. So far participating restaurants include:

  • Anatoli Souvlaki
  • Bauhaus
  • The Bayside Lounge
  • Brix & Mortar
  • The Emerald
  • Fable (for lunch only)
  • The Greek by Anatoli
  • Jamjar Commercial
  • Jamjar South Granville
  • The Mackenzie Room
  • The Oakwood Canadian Bistro
  • Pidgin
  • The Portside Pub
  • Sai Woo
  • Tuc Craft Kitchen

This one-night-only event is designed to raise funds to help the non-profit charity continue to do what they do to end youth hunger. Considering Mealshare recently reached a huge milestone in 2016 – serving over one million meals in Canada to youth in need – we are all for anything this Calgary-based company goes about doing.

A handful of prominent Vancouver landmarks will be lit up in Mealshare orange on May 10 to mark the occasion including BC Place, City Hall, and the TELUS World of Science.

So paint the town orange and be sure to dine out for a good cause on this day – you can commit to chowing down on May 10 by signing The Most Delicious Petition Ever, in return for signing this you’ll get a free Evo Car Share membership or driving minutes to get to your dining destination.

So really, there’s no reason not to hit the town on this date – we know we will be!
